Unanswered: How to understand the fllowing topics?

backups taken just before the open resetlogs can be used if there were no transactions between the time the backup was taken and the time resetlogs was issued. That is, if there is absolutely no change between the incomplete recovery SCN and the resetlogs SCN. This is accomplished internally by placing the recently recovered files offline before the database is opened with resetlogs.

    Thanks in advanced.

For discussion sake, let's say above is correct.
    Now what?

How does any backup know or care about what occurs to the DB after backup is taken?
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
