Unanswered: Sort order on query not pulling through to report

    I'm using Access 2003.
I've set up a database for users to enter items which they have ordered from a stationery store. They have to input the date they ordered the items along with various bits of information such as item description and price.
I have a query in which the date field is set to "sort ascending". If I run the query, it does indeed sort by date with no problems.
I am now using this query to feed a report, but on the report the items don't sort by date - they appear in the order in which they were input (which isn't necessarily in "date" order).
How can I get the sort order on the query to pull through into the report?
    Thanks.

If you have a sort order on your report it overides the sort order of the query.

or set an explicit sort order on the report
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

Many thanks - that's done the trick!
