    Unanswered: Access 2007 DSum issues

    Trying to put together a query and include dsum to roll up sales numbers. The group that I need to roll by is ISBN (text field). Trying to learn via the Northwind db to get results via month, year, employee id (MS examples), but when I try by a text value (like country or city) I get the #Error. Example I'm using in the NW db is

    RunTot: DSum("Freight","Orders","[shipcountry]<=" & [countryalias] & "")

    Where countryalias is the ship country.

    I find the DSUM() in a query is very slooooooow. I never use them in a query.

    You might also be able to use a totaling query. You can also use a sub query
