    Unanswered: Access to SQL Server

    I am looking to convert my Access dbase to a SQL dbase and want to know if there is a way to import the table stucture and data easily without having to type alot of SQL to do it

    yes.

    on the otherhand sqlserver itself is an entirely different animal to learn, become certified on, and experienced with. importing Access data you will find to be a trivial task compared to becoming versed in the overall sqlserver environment.

    think of it this way; sqlserver is an 18 wheeler while Access is a pickup truck.

    in general, the increasing power of PCs means the cross over to needing to move to sqlserver recedes. so there should be a very compelling reason to to introduce sqlserver into the environment.

    i have taken classes for dbase using sqlserver and web development using asp.net and am wanting to work through a dbase i built making it web and multi user friendly to my office (and having soemthing for future employers to see
