    Hello

I have worked in databases alot, but haven't actually designed one yet! I hope to learn lots here.

I would like any advice on where to start...i.e. what program to use? I was thinking of MS access.

I want to design a DB that allows me to search our applicants. Each applicant fills in a questionnaire, we then use that questionnaire to match them with employers. See this link for the data that I am looking to create the database for.

Right now our site only allows for 4 search options, so we manually search each applicant when someone says "they need a Driver's license and a nursing background and like music."

thanks in advance to everyone's suggestions.

I would recommend to download one of the Express editions (DB2,Oracle or SQL server) - and begin developing

Not a problem. All of those 3 editions come with very good documentation - which is a good idea to start reading
