    Unanswered: DB2 Workload Manager

    Hi all,

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to disable the DB2 workload manager? I am working on DB2 9.5.

    Thanks

Why would you need to do that?

This is a test server and I am struggling with a resource issue. So i was wondering if I can disable/enable Workload Manager.

You cannot disable Workload Manager, just as you cannot disable FCM or the query compiler.

You can disable or drop event monitors.

Why do you think that WLM causes your "resource issues"?

I have not worked much with Workload Manager, so I am still learning about it. I believe the cause of resource issue is the workload manager itself, its not setup optimally. As i said, its still something that I am learning.

Can you alter the default service classes to disable?

    Thanks

Nevermind, I just found out that default Service class cannot be disabled.
