Hi everyone! This is a bit off topic but I need some help from my colleagues. I am a programmer, but I am looking for participants for my dissertation study survey. My company had originally agreed to allow me to distribute my survey to IT employees, but pulled out at the last minute. So, now I’m left scrambling to find IT personnel who will take my survey. If you are part of a software development team (i.e. analyst, software designer, software development, software engineering, DBA, QA, systems admin, etc.) of at least 4 members, I would greatly appreciate your help.
Here is the link to the survey, but all the official information is below as well.
My name is Jodine Burchell and I am a doctoral candidate at Walden University. The purpose of this post is to invite the members of this e-group to participate in my research study designed to examine the relationship between software development methodologies, leadership style, and job satisfaction.
I am posting to this e-group because it is considered a public professional online networking site where IT professionals frequent. My study participant criteria includes persons considered to be IT personnel who have worked on a software development team (i.e. analyst, software designer, software development, software engineering, DBA, QA, systems admin, etc.) of at least 4 members in the past year and have knowledge and experience related to the topic
Further information, including the confidential and voluntary nature of this anonymous survey, can be found on the first page of the actual survey. In addition, your participation is strictly voluntary, so you may change your mind and exit the survey at any time. The electronic survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
If you would like to participate in the study by taking the survey and meet the above criteria, please feel free click on the following link:
In addition, please feel free to pass this invitation on to any persons who you feel may meet the criteria described above and would likely want to participate in this study. Their participation will be greatly appreciated! If you would rather not pass the information on yourself, provide me their email address and I will gladly send them an invitation.
If you have any questions or concerns, the contact information is listed below.
If you want to talk privately about your rights as a participant, you can call Dr. Leilani Endicott. She is the Walden University representative who can discuss this with you. Her phone number is 1-800-925-3368, extension 1210. Walden University’s approval number for this study is 06-22-11-0128057 and it expires on June 21, 2012.
