Unanswered: Using WHERE instead of JOIN

    Hi,

What is the difference between these two statements in terms of performance and desired results:

    Code:
    SELECT Persons.LastName, Persons.FirstName, Orders.OrderNo
FROM Persons INNER JOIN Orders ON Persons.P_Id=Orders.P_Id
    and

    Code:
    SELECT Persons.LastName, Persons.FirstName, Orders.OrderNo
    FROM Persons, Orders WHERE Persons.P_Id=Orders.P_Id

there is no difference in performance or results

but one of those methods is considered "best practice" while the other is considered deprecated
