Unanswered: Which join statement is better?

When using join statements, which is better for consolidating data?
    Full join or inner join?

Please let me know. Thank you

these two different types of joins produce different types of results

so which one is "better" depends on what results you want

As r937 says, they have their own uses, so no of the joins are better than the others, with one exception: Many developers tend to avoid right outer join. The joins you have in SQL Server are:

    (inner) join
    left (outer) join
    right (outer) join
    full (outer) join
    cross join

All have their distinct uses, and are pretty well documented.
