Unanswered: Giving the right to force an application to a User of a DB2 user

    Hello guys,

I want to give an User the right to force other applications off.
The Information Center says, the User has to belong to one of the following Groups:

    sysadm
    sysctrl
    sysmaint

Because of keeping rights as simple as possible I want to add the user to the sysmaint group, but i didnt find out yet how i can do that? Can anyone give me a hint? Thanks in advance.

SYSMAINT (like the two other you've mentioned) is not a group, it's an authority that can be granted to a group. Add the user to a group, as you normally would in your OS, then grant the authority by issuing the command UPDATE DBM CFG.
