    Unanswered: grant procedure

    DB2 ESE 9.5 fp8 on p-linux
    we are having some procedures and executed grants on these
    now we have procedures, with different parmlist
    I can see that db2look can extract/recreate this grant similar to
    GRANT EXECUTE ON PROCEDURE "CLSM "."SAVE_WAITING_FILE"(BIGINT,VARCHAR(),VARCHAR(),V ARCHAR(),BIGINT,BIGINT,VARCHAR(),BIGINT,INTEGER,IN TEGER,BLOB(),VARCHAR(),TIMESTAMP,SMALLINT,SMALLINT ,BIGINT) TO GROUP "DDB2CLSMAPP";
    we want to re-create grant statements but need this parmlist
    does anybody knows how we can find this back from the catalog without having to execute the db2look

    Guy, I prefer to use specific name instead of using parameters. Easy to get from catalog . simple to read as well if SPECIFICNAME has been used in procedure creation.

    Instead of getting the parmlist from the catalog , you can just get the specific name. Atleast it is easy.

    If you want to use the 'expanded' version, examples to build what you want are here

    join of syscat.routineparms and syscat.routines will be required.

    My suggestion would be to create all procedures with an explicit specific name instead or one created by DB2. That way you can avoid all those hassles.
