Unanswered: Restoration issue due to different bit

    Server A

    db2level
    DB21085I Instance "DB2" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL09070" with
    level identifier "08010107".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v9.7.0.441", "s090521", "NT3297", and Fix Pack
    "0".

    Server B

    db2level
    DB21085I Instance "DB2" uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL09074" with
    level identifier "08050107".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v9.7.400.501", "s110330", "IP23238", and Fix Pack

We are trying to restore the db of A to B.

Restoration completed but its throwing library error while we are connecting.

Red face Restoration issue due to different bit

I m facing similar issue where OS is Win7 and DB2 client is DB2 v9.7.400.501.. The LC connection from LN 8.5 was working fine until the DB2 was upgraded from 8.1 to 9.7. Please suggest!

What is the exact error message you're getting? Can you connect to the db locally on the server?

Question Restoration issue due to different bit Reply to Thread

I am able to connect with DB2 client to the server. However, not able to connect thru LCConnection to the db2 client.
Is it that the CLI drivers are not provided with the DB2 FP9.7? do we need to install it separately?
The LCConnection is giving below error message:

ErrCode: 12325 - Error: [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1031N The database directory cannot be found on the indicated file system. SQLSTATE=58031, Connec on line 56 err is 12325

as if you defined a type 2 connection
if client is not installed and db cataloged- type4 connection is needed
look at info center for connection string
