Unanswered: Trouble with removing [ character

    please help

I have a column that has 1000s of records in it. Some of them contain [ ] around text that I need to remove EX: [A/T]

I need it to read A/T not [A/T] for whatever records are affected.

I tried search and replace. that was able to remove the ] from all records, however when I try to search [ all I get is an error saying

    "The Pattern String is Invalid".

I guess i will have to make a query of some sort to remove the [ from the records, however i am not sure how to do so.

Could someone please kindly point me in the right direction. I am not overly familiar with MS Access or its syntax/

In a query, you should try:
    Replace(Replace([SomeField], "[", ""), "]", "") AS SomeAlias
    Have a nice day!
