    Unanswered: SQL1084C error while rollforwarding the database

    DB2 DPF on Linux
    Version 9.7

    I finished restoring a 17 partitioned database from production on to QA. Production environment has 17 parititons spanned across five physical nodes. Now all the 17 partitions are been restored to QA server with one physical node.

    When I try to run a rollforward db dbname query status, I get this error

    SQL1084C Shared memory segments cannot be allocated. SQLSTATE=57019

    I know this is an issue with memory since database resided on 5 physical nodes is being restored to the one with only one physical node and so the memory available will 1/5th. But I cannot reduce the size of the bufferpools since database is still in rollforward pending. I tried to reduce the database_memory cfg parameter and tried to run rollforward but still it errors out with the same error. Can some one please help me out.

    Actually I set this variable and could now do the rollforward.

    DB2_OVERRIDE_BPF=1000
