Unanswered: DB2 Standby database replication from Primary

    Hello,

I got a few questions on DB2 HADR, on how Primary db being replicated to Standy database.

Can you please tell me if a create a new tablepsace XXX, will this tablespace will also get replicated to node 2 (standby db)? or this is something I have to create manually?

also how about table move to new tablespaces? and also index creation? and turning on the compression attributes for tables? will this also get this get replicated to Standby db from Prinmary?

    Let me know please...

    Thanks in Advance.

    Yes,it gets replicated.
The compression for tables also get replicated if the compression license is added to both primary and standby

As sysdba1 mentioned, the activities you mentioned are replicated to the standby database. Please refer these infocenter links to know more about what operations are replicated and what are not replicated.

One thing you must make sure of regarding tablespaces, is that the path names for the databases on both servers are the same, otherwise a tablespace command that affects containers could fail.
