    Unanswered: Having Users Change The Default Password MS Access MDW

    I have set up users to access the database and they utilize the System.mdw file to get in... I have set them up to access the system using their ID and the same default password. How will it be best to have them log in and be prompted to change their password to secure the system?

    First of all it is not adivsable to use the default system.mdw file for security setup, why because when your database is transported to a different machine (or MS-Office is reinstalled on your machine) then anybody can easily get into the database and work with it.

    As the database administrator you should create UserNames and initial passwords for your User. After login Users can goto Tools-->Security-->User and Group Accounts... -->Change Password option and change their password.
