Red face Unanswered: Sqlserver Column Collation

    Hi,
Is there any easy way of setting column collation to Case Sensitive for existing columns without doing alter statements, dropping and recreating index. Is there a tool or something?
    Thanks

Indexes can easily be scripted out using SQL Server Management Studio. As far as I know, the indexes has to be dropped, the collation change, and then recreated. This is because you're switching comparison algorithm used for sorting the data in the index. I'll see whether I can come up with a script for this, I have most of the code for this already.

I have the script to come up with the alter statements for column collation. I just need a script to drop and build index. Thanks Roac!

I guess the script should also include drop and create triggers
