    Red face Unanswered: Label or Text Box

    Hi,

    I have created a Label on some fo my forms with instructions on how to complete the Form. The wording is exactly the same on each Form and is about 750 characters long.

    I vertically sized a Label on my computer at work to make sure all the text was visible. However, when I checked on my computer at home, the last 3 lines were not visible coz the Label was not tall enough vertically.

    It seems a Label does not have a CanGrow property? And a Text Box only allows 255 characters?

    Is there any way to correctly size a Label so it shows all lines on every computer?

    Ciao for now.

    Text boxes are not limited to 255 characters, contrarily to the column of a table that is declared of type Text. This works in a form:
    Code:
    Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)

        Me.Text0.Value = String(32568, "A")

    End Sub
    Have a nice day!

    Ah, OK.

    So it is best to use a Text Box and change the CanGrow and CanShrink properties to "Yes".

    Then the area will grow or shrink depending upon the individual User's PC/monitor settings??

    That's it. You can also use the ScrollBars property of the control.
    Have a nice day!
