    Unanswered: Establish Connection with DB2 UDB Database

    Whenever I try to establish connection with DB2 UDB database in .Net 2.0, it is taking 1-2 mins to open the connection. I'm using DB2Connecton in C# for this purpose.

    sConnectionString_DB2 = "Server=DB2ServerName:PORT;Database=DATABASENAME;U ID=USERNAME;PWD=PASSWORD;";

    if (objDB2Con.State == ConnectionState.Closed)
    {
    objDB2Con.ConnectionString = sConnectionString_DB2;
    objDB2Con.Open();
    }

    IF I try to connect DB2 with ODBC Connector, it is working fine. It connects within seconds.

    it might be - someone is already connected
    check if db is active (see infocenter for details)
    check that both try to connect on activated db and see the difference

    Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
