    Unanswered: Exclusive Access to database

Today while trying to create a report in my database, I was unable to save the report due to an error suggesting that other users are in the database and I don't have exclusive access to the database.

How do I kick all users off? Or gain exclusive access or administrative access to the database? I thought I already had it.

Here's some code I found a while ago that shows one way to do this:

Before jumping into KickThemOff : be aware that the only proper implementation of a multiuser database is that it be split.

The back end goes on a common server location - - and each user has their own Front end loaded on their own PC's C:

In this configuration there is never a need to kick anyone off in terms of building a report - because the report object is saved in your front end only.

You do have to kick everyone off to modify tables but this is a much more infrequent event....

    Hope it helps.
