    Unanswered: Problems when i filter a query

    Hello

    When i filter the records of any table using "begins with" or "contains" in the table, it works perfectly, but when i apply the same filter to the same records of the same table INSIDE A QUERY, the results sometimes are not correct. I get an error message "Enter a valid value" from time to time. Please id like to know what is going wrong.

    Thank you very much in advance!

    Use the Like Operator in WHERE Clause of the Query.

    Example for Begins with - to match John starts in John, Johny, Johnson etc.

    Code:
    SELECT Table1.* FROM Table1
    WHERE (Table1.Name Like 'John*');
    Example for Contains - to match son within Jonson, Peterson, Robinson Cruzo, Sony

    Code:
    SELECT Table1.* FROM Table1
    WHERE (Table1.Name Like '*son*');

    Hello

    Sorry for my late reply. In the first 2 days i had no replies so i focused in another forum and stopped watching this one. That was exactly when you came with your message.

    The problem was "kind of solved" in another forum (link is bellow). Now im focusing in other issues.
