Unanswered: Need help with Access 2007 duplicate records

    Hi everyone,

I have a time and attendance database for which i need to create a report. The database has the user information and the login / logout time. unfortunately the login or logout is always logged twice. which means the same user id and the day is always repeated.

We only want to see the login's and so need to discard any duplicate records. How do i create a query so that discards a duplicate record based on a combination of both of these?

    Hope that makes sense?

In the SQL of your query use SELECT DISTINCT.

Lookup the Help file for ALL, DISTINCT and DISTINCTROW
