    Unanswered: Good book for SQL?

What's a good book/reference for MS SQL? I have some background in SQL, but not an expert.

Please let me know. Thank you so much.

What kind of information do you want, and at what level? There are "tons" of books out there. Personally I like the "Inside SQL Server" Series from Microsoft Press. Search for this on Amazon.com, and the four first books are great (in my opinion)

Thank you so much for the suggestions, will check it out. I learned intro level of MS SQL a few years ago, use it for a summer at work. Now I am just looking for a book to do practice on my own and learn more advance things/ practical examples use at work.

If you want to look over a quick set of articles/tests for introductory performance tuning, check out this site: SQL Performance

It should get you all of the basics to deal with performance issues in SQL (or prevent them from happening in the first place )
