Unanswered: Bst way to handle images in SQL Server

I am told its a bad idea to store images in a database. What is the most efficient way to create a table that contains images in a database? can someone link me to a tutorial that shows you how to do this, so that its easy for your asp.net application to get the images from the database and display them?

Yes I've read about the different methods...is filestream storage system appropriate?...my site is basically a shopping website...similar to something like amazon. Where the customer sees the items description, name, id number and image...its not going to be a big database
