Unanswered: Can we replicate from DB2 V9.7 source to DB2 V8.2 target?

    Hi folks,

I have a source DB2 V9.7 database in RHEL 5 which needs to be replicated to a DB2 V8.2 database in Windows. I want to know if this is possible at all. If possible, what are the gotchas involved in the multi-version replication? Any help is greatly appreciated. Just to add, the source database which was V8.2 prior to upgrade was replicating every day to the target without any issue.

    Thanks,
    Dev

I think - if the control db was/is on v8 and apply started from v8 - there should be no problem. if sql-repl is migrated and control-db is on v9 - then start apply from the v9 code

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
