    Unanswered: SQL Summit 2011

I'm sitting at the keynote for the summit and am learning lots. I'll keep addingposts as I find interesting tidbits and will spin those off into new threads if they gather comments.

See http://www.sqlpass.org or monitor the twitter hashtag #SQLPass for more details.

Denny Lee talked about a working HADOOP For Windows Clusters configuration that has been running for months. Thousands of nodes processing terrabytes per day and 7.5 petabytes per month!

Great feed via PowerPivot into Excel or Reporting Services.

    CTP expected late this year.

' Tim and Nino demonstrated an explorer for data. It takes data as delivered and analyzes that data to find insights.

One especially cool feature is that it groks geography... In other words it can analyze data based on business locations and you can use that analysis to find missing information such as finding customer origins (where are our customers coming from)

Rumour has it that Twitter can't accept new posts from the WSCC due to the #SQLPass load!
