Unanswered: Keeping consistent data while flushing database periodically
Suppose that 20 GB of data is inserted in a database weekly as part of an enterprise banking solution. Due to storage restrictions, this server needs to be flushed weekly but data is kept using nightly online incremental backups (plus a full initial database backup which merely comprises database structure and tables). We want to have consistent copy of such data in another server. This second server needs to restore main server's data weekly as well. The problem is once the main database is emptied, further backups would keep logs of such whole data removal which impedes us from appending weekly data to the second server.
