Red face Unanswered: Tables Spaces Not restored

    Hi Thanks in advance

I have taken a backup with include logs option and restored it but 5 tablespaces are not restored properly wht i have to do ?

and one more thing i am trying to do restore those tablespaces but its not working .
    db2 " restore db emdb tablespace ( 30 ) online from /db2/db200001/emdb taken at 20111108071745 "
SQL2549N The database was not restored because either all of the table spaces
in the backup image are inaccessible, or one or more table space names in list
of table space names to restore are invalid.

I would suspect that you need to do a redirected restore as the file system of the server the backup was taken from and the one you are restoring to are not the same.

Are you replacing the database or creating a new one? If you are creating a new one then, you have to do a redirected restore.

    Try this:

Quiesce the instance--this will prevent anyone from using the databases.

Either DROP the database before you restore, or use "REPLACE EXISTING" in the restore command.
