    Unanswered: Quetion on Sybase Indexes

    Hi ,

For one of my large tables, we have a primary key on 5 columns (in the order A,B,C,D and E).

Is it ok to create another non unique index with few of the pimarry columns say D,E,C?

Will this help speed up the retrival of rows when searched on columns D,E and C? Or is this index redundant and overhead?

    any help is much appreciated.

    Thankns,
    VJ.
