    Unanswered: DB2 instance in cluster mode on AIX platform

    one of my client required "DB2 instance in cluster mode on AIX platform" set up

    can anybody explain about CLUSTER MODE , whether he is referring PARTIONING or any HADR similar set up???

    what is the basic definition of CLUSTER MODE in db2

    clustering is done with external software
    partitioning is done with db2

    You need to ask you client for more information about what they want, or think they want.
