Unanswered: Impact of nonclustered index with included columns on large tables

    Hello everyone,

I would like to know the impacts (if any) of adding nonclustered index with included columns on large tables (these tables are populated by bulk insert from text files)

    Thanks,

Also, inserts/updates/deletes to the base table will be little costlier as you'll need to make changes to the index as well. And your index will be wider which means more IO.
