    Wink Unanswered: db2 idle out

    hi,

i have issue in db2 sever where i could see lot of users/application connecting, but they are not disconnecting from the db, So i have to kill the application to avoid CPU and memory related issues.

Is there any way that users/application will get disconnected if they idle for a particular period of time.

    Db2 V 9.7 fp4
    Rhel 5.5

    Kindly help me

    Thanks

Ideally this should be handled by the application. Idle connections should not be impacting the CPU, just taking up a small amount of memory. You would have to write a cron script to periodically do it for you.

db2gov is for all enviroment or is it for a partitioned db environment.

    Kindly correct me if wrong

db2gov has been deprecated in v9.7. You can look at the Work Load Management to see it it can do it.
