    Unanswered: Scheduled queries

    Hi,

I have read about scheduling jobs in the sql server agent, I set one if these up but now i need to know how to save the results of the query somewhere?

Do I need to add a command to my query instructing this or do I need to add a step to the job that will do this for me?

Does anyone have some experience with this?

SQL Server Agent can write output from some job steps either to an operating system file or to the sysjobstepslogs table in the msdb database.
You can find it under Agent >> job >> Steps property>> go to Advance Tab

    .csv

I've tried this and been playing around with it for a while, it looks like the only way to do this is with .txt files. I would rather .csv but when i try this the results will enter into one cell rather than spread them out accross the table
