Unanswered: inserting mathematical equations into mysql

    Hi!
I need to insert data from wordpad/msword to mysql database. The data consists of mathematical equations/chemical equations etc.I'm using notations for the equations like e.g: for 9/5 I'm using \frac\{9\}\{5\} notation, but when I'm trying to dump this into mysql,it's stored as image and could not retrieve it.

    I need your help,

    Thanks,

    Vjta

Can you provide more details about the table definition? Also what exactly gets stored in the database when you attempt to load it?

What happens when you do a SELECT * FROM table. This will give you an indication of what has gotten stored in the database. Also because you use backslashes and these are used as escape characters you may need to escape these. In PHP there is a function called mysql_real_escape_string which returns a string that is escaped to be stored into the database.
