Lightbulb Unanswered: Change db2 instance name

    Hi,

I have a DB2 ESE V9.5 on a aix box and it contains a instance db2inst1 which has 2 databases. I want to change the instance name from db2inst1 to db2inst5. Is it possible to change the instance name of a db2 server.

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
