    Unanswered: ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error

    We moved the old server to a new data center. The old server was a physical server and the new server is a virtual server, but both are Solaris 5.9. The data was copied from the old to new, and the same mount points and directory paths exist.

    But we are getting the below error in the new server.

    CT-Library error:
    Severity=0; number=4; origin=3; layer=5
    ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed

    We have tried many ways to fix the issue. but nothing was working out.

    I have run the same program in old and new server. It is working fine in the old server but it is throwing ct_connect error in the new server.

    I have attaches the "truss" command output for the same program run in both old and new servers.

    It would be great help if someone provide solution to fix the issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Some general questions:
    Is your dataserver running on the new host (ps -ef |grep dataserver)?
    Does the interfaces file point to the correct host and port?
    Can you telnet to the the dataserver host port?

    The only time that I have that error its when we change the port number and the applications were pointing to the wrong port number. sometimes it takes a while to apply the changes on the stations.

    Regards
