Unanswered: Cant increse SMS tablepspace pagesize

    Hi,

I have a DB2 ESE V8.1 FP14 on a windows server. I was trying to add a column in a table but on doing that getting this error:

SQL0670N The row length of the table exceeded a limit of 4005 bytes. (TABLESPACE USERSPACE1)

I checked the tablespaces and all of these are SMS tablespaces and i think they are managed by the system itself so even i cant change them..

Any solution of this .. please help

You cannot modify the tablespace page size once it's created. You will need to create another tablespace with the required page size, then create your table there.

You can't change the page of tablespace

In DB2, any version, you are not allowed to change the page size of tablespace.
