Oracle Developer consultant tasks include the following activities:

a. Support Application Development Requests

-- Work with project team to support full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications

-- Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications

-- Create and maintain documentation related to development projects including business requirements, test plans and user manuals

b. Enterprise Support

-- Work with the development team to help analyze the existing infrastructure and contribute to long term strategic planning

-- Diagnosing and resolving application and infrastructure issues; including emergency after hours support

-- Communicate effectively with user community to provide technical support

c. Support Development Team

-- Work with application developers to share knowledge, resolve issues and support our user base

-- Serve as a technical resource to less experienced developers



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills

a. The proposed personnel must be United States citizens who can obtain Public Trust level security clearance.

b. At least seven years of experience as an Oracle Developer.

c. Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

d. Good Knowledge of relational database design concepts

e. Experience with Oracle 11g including;

-- Oracle database objects - tables, indexes, directories, sequences, triggers...

-- SQL & PLSQL

-- Familiarity with built-in PLSQL packages and procedures

-- Use of Java inside Oracle

-- Extensive use of Large Objects (LOBs) in Oracle

f. Experience with Oracle development tools including;

-- Advanced use of Oracle Application Express 4.0 and above

-- Experience with Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer

-- Familiarity with Oracle reporting packages including Oracle Reports, Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Discoverer

g. Experience designing and manipulating web content dynamically using JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS and HTML



Desired Skills

a. Experience developing web pages using PL/SQL in an Oracle Portal environment is strong plus

b. Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports Server configuration

c. Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports development using Oracle Designer

d. Project Management skills

e. Experience with establishing standard procedures/guidelines on content design, content management and content deployment
