Unanswered: DB2 SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "1"
I am running DB2 9.1 on redhat linux 5.1 ...
I am trying to connect to db2 but getting this error
"SQLConnect: rc=-1, SQLSTATE: 08001, Error Msg:[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "1" ["PASSWORD EXPIRED"], SQLSTATE=08001"
....when tried to change password it says not authorized to do so
The user is not a sysadm (db2inst1 ) and just has access to select from tables nothing more....
any ideas ...
How is the authentication being performed (by the OS or some other method)? How did you try to change the password?
OS and using passwd command on linux terminal
Which user are you logged in with when you issue passwd?

What is the exact error you are getting?
