    Unanswered: How i Optimize my db i have a lot of record

    Hello first I should say that my english very bad im so sorry (im turkish)

    my database have 2 table
    example
    1. table name users

    user_id - user_rate - user_credit
    1 2 10
    2 2 10
    3 3 10
    4 4 10
    2.table name log

    liker_user liked_user
    1 2
    1 3
    1 4
    2 2
    2 3
    2 4
    3 2
    3 3
    3 4

    i have log table 10.000 + record (facebook page like desktop application work with php)


    I'm doing query 2 times per second average

    my host enrollment increases, slowing down

    how i optimize my db or how i transform another mysql type

    and need i move my db to vps ?

    what is the index


    im beginner in mysql and php but my application is growing rapidly

    i need fix this problem but How ?

    What are the advantages of using index?

    do a search for mysql optimization -- it will tell you which columns should be indexed
