    Lightbulb Unanswered: Db2 asntdiff utility

    Hi ALL,

I tried to run following command on Linux server with DB2 9.1v.

    db2 asntdiff -f queries.asntdiff

But it failed to run and thowred SQL10004N error means command not recognized.

Is ASNTDIFF Utility limited to specific version of DB2 and if it's available then how to use it.

    Regards,
    Neville

It is not a DB2 command, but a utility, so just enter the name of the program on the command line:

    asntdiff -f queries.asntdiff

I am using 9.7 and it is available. You may want to open the DB2 LUW InfoCenter webpage doc for version 9.1 (V9) and search to see if you can find it. It might not be availble in 9.1.

If you want to try and copy it from a 9.7 release (probably in the $HOME/sqllib/bin directory) you could download a trial version of DB2 9.7 and get it from there, but no guarantee that it work if you try to run it in 9.1.

BTW, DB2 9.1 LUW will no longer be supported by IBM after Apr 30, 2012 (except under special extended support contract), so maybe time to upgrade to 9.7.

    it is in sqllib/bin
    also for 9.1
do NOT invoke this from the db2 prompt - just cmd line
type the command - see the error and publish

    Need More help

    Hi all,

    Thanks for all your help...
Now i want to execute following scenario :

There are two databases exact replica of each other and both of them are different in location.

I use ODI tool to update target DB, but while doing it i get some mismatch in some Tables.
Now to check the remaining records i wan to execute asntdiff command and store the records at target db temporary table.

    Thanks
    Neville

Do you have any question? I am sure you have read asntdiff in documentation.

    Hi,
i read many articles and help topic over it.
But i still confuse over how to specify the name of the two tables and respective databases.

Please provide me the detailed info of it.
