Unanswered: Insert Huge data from one table to another table in Oracle

    Hi

I want to insert huge data like 10lacs or more from one table to another table in oracle.

which is the secure and faster process to insert this amount of data ?
and what are the things we need to consider before or at the time of inserting?

can any one please suggest with proper example?

INSERT statement is the most obvious option.

Where are these tables? In the same schema? In the same database? In different databases? Can you easily reach it (over the network) or do you need to transfer data differently (for example, export, burn to DVD, send by mail)?

Does the second table already exist and contains some data, or is it empty? Can you afford disabling indexes (and, possibly, constraints) to make the insert faster?

Anyway: provide some more information, as the most accurate answer might depend on actual situation.

P.S. 1 million rows is not that much

Insert Huge data from one table to another table in Oracle

Yes both tables are in same database and same schema .

second table(means where we are going to insert the data) where already having huge number of data. Yes we can able to disabled or drop constraints and indexes there.

as both table present in same schema so dont needd to user any external devices.

please suggest what will be the faster and optimul option to insert ?
