    Hi,

informix log file is plain text, so you can read it with whatever tool you want ( vi, gedit, notepad .......)
It does not have a "row like" structure, but it is obviously based on timestamps and events.
At each day change, a new date is written, and within this date, each event line starts with the time of the event.
It will contain "normal" events, resource related events, engine level errors and assert failed if any.

Easy to read, a bit more difficult on the structured way of reading.

    Hope this helps
    Eric

    Wow!

this is not what I could call an Informix log file. Where did you get it from? What is its fullpath name? Is it located on a server or on a client?
