Question Unanswered: enable/ disable command buttons

I have a question on enabling and disabling buttons in access 2003 if anyone can help me please
Am trying to automatically on opening the access file to disable and enable command buttons on my form
I created an autoexec macro which runs automatically on opening the access file, is there any possibility to enable and disable the command buttons on my form in this macro

note: on the design view of this macro i used
    SetValue
    [Forms]![MAIN_MENU]![Command5].[Enabled]=fasle
    ** (as attachment pic1 shows)
    but it didnt work !!!!

    appreciate any suggestions
    thnx

If a control on a form must be disabled when the form is open, why don't you set its Enabled property to False in the Properties windows when the form is in Design mode?
