Unanswered: Latch wait - no holder

    DB2 9.7 FP3a on AIX

I have captured db2pd output for latches - during a volume stress test.
Close to peak, there were a number of SQLO_LT_SQLB_HASH_BUCKET_GROUP_HEADER__groupLatch waiters.

    https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docv...id=swg21456306

Nothing unusual. Have seen these latch waits in the past.
But the difference is, there were no holders. I dont remember seeing this before.

Have attached a part of db2pd -latches output.

    Any thoughts ?

    Thanks

Can you try db2pd -stacks to see if it captures any holders? This command will generate *.stack.txt files.

Thanks. Will capture stack info in the future.

    Found an APAR

IBM IC77038: db2pd -latches output reports incorrect latch holder information. - United States

    fixed in FP5

Thanks @db2girl. As you suggested, "db2pd -stacks" provided detailed information.

    Cheers
