Hi All,

There is a DB2 user ID configured without password on MVS.

Earlier was used JDBC/SQLJ Universal Type 2 Driver.

The connection was created using this syntax (null user ID/password):

DriverManager.getConnection(url);
The system recognized the user ID which logged on to server and used it to connect to DB2 and no password was needed, since it was configured in RACF group.

Now with switch to JDBC Universal Type 4 Driver Java throws exceptions when either user ID / password is null or blank:

Like:

Exception: com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlSyntaxErrorException: [jcc][t4][10205][11234][3.59.83] Null userid is not supported. ERRORCODE=-4461, SQLSTATE=42815
Is there any option to connect to DB2 without providing to DriverManager password (so it would use the user ID which runs the program) ?

Thank you.
