    Unanswered: Index REORG

When a table space is REORGED, does it automatically REORG all the indexes in that space? Thanks.

You do not reorg a tablespace. You can reorg a table and/or its indexes.

On DB2 z/OS, you actually reorg a tablespace. There you also have a REORG INDEX utility (if you are using the DB2 utilities).

For DB2 z/OS, you can specify for the REORG command whether to include the indexes or not.

    reorg index

yes, but aren't the metrics different for each. just because your metrics say to reorg the table space doesnt necessarily mean to reorg the indexes since the underlying data sets are different. Am I right? We have Zos. not linux.

    Index reorg

    This is from the manual:

REORG TABLESPACE Reorganizes all data and all indexes.

And for DB2 z/OS you have - as I mentioned - a REORG INDEX utility.

    Manuals:
    DB2 LUW
    DB2 z/OS

    That should get you going.
