Unanswered: rollforward with overflow log path

just to get a confirmation that it should work as we noticed
    db2 ese 9.5 fp 8 on p/linux
database sample - tables test -
insert some rows(1) - online backup -insert some rows(2) -archive log
    insert rows (3) - crash
scenario 1 : restore db from ol backup + rollforward to end of logs and complete
this has no problem - all recovered
scenario 2 : restore db from ol backup : retrieve archive logs into new directory
rollforward to end of logs and complete overflow log path ..
inserts(3) only available in active log directory = lost
    question would be :
can we retrieve the archived logs (or move these) to the active log path
    or
should we copy before the logs from active log path to overflow log path
we have tested sc2 on a test machine and could see that these inserts are lost (although committed)
when doing rf with overflow (no copy of active logs) I had in mind that the files in the active log path would als be handled (which is not the case)
    thanks for all remarks/help

It's probably safe, although not recommended.

I'm almost sure that specifying OVERFLOW LOG PATH overrides the normal log path setting. You will need to issue the rollforward command twice: first with OVERFLOW LOG PATH but without the COMPLETE (or STOP) clause, then without OVERFLOW LOG PATH to process logs in the active log directory.
