Unanswered: DB2 UDB on RHEL 6.2 - Compatible??

    New to DB2 UDB.

I am unable to Install DB2 UDB 9.7 with FP 4 on RHEL 6.2. All different installation methods result in only creating the DAS. No SQLLIB and User IDs for db2inst1 and db2fenc1 aren't created as well.

Must be something with your machine. Verify system requirements (Installation requirements for DB2 servers and IBM data server clients (Linux) - IBM DB2 9.7 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows) and check the installation log in /tmp.

The only requirement I see is (libstdc++.so.6 -all 32-bit compatibility libraries are required for 32-bit applications.)

The install itself was ok. What did you use to do the install? If the instance was supposed to be created during the install, there should be a db2icrt log under /tmp. Or just try creating the instance manually using db2icrt.

We all assume that you installed as "root". Right?
Somewhere between " too small" and " too large" lies the size that is just right.
