    Unanswered: unable to reclaim space at OS level after moving tables from tablespaces

    HI All,

    we are using DB2 with SAP , we moved some tables from one tablespace to another tablespace and we are unable to reclaim space for deleted tables at OS level,

    seems you are not very familiar with db2
    check list tablespaces and free pages and high watermark and try alter tablespace with resize option to free pages from dms containers
    check infocenter for your version of db2
    ALTER TABLESPACE

    I have executed alter tablespace TBnmae reduce (all containers 1)

    we have only one container,

    Please provide "db2pd -d <db name> -tab" and your db2 version. Also, the tablespace name you altered.

    Maybe the table you moved is not the one who holds the high water marker....
